The best legal decisions are made before problems arise. Learn your rights, understand your options, and make informed decisions with confidence.
35 Years in Law · 25 Years with LegalShield
Rights you don't know about are rights you can't protect.
I'm Vivian Lydia-Jackson. After more than three decades working alongside attorneys — including years at DLA Piper — I've spent the last 25 helping families and small business owners across the South understand their LegalShield options and access affordable legal protection before they need it.
Helping families prepare wisely, protect confidently, and prosper for generations.
Prepare. Protect. Prosper.
Knowledge today can become peace of mind tomorrow.
Our philosophy
Three ideas that shape how we help families and business owners think about legal protection — long before a problem is at the door.
The best legal decisions are made before problems arise. Learn your rights, understand your options, and make informed decisions with confidence.
Whether it's your family, your identity, your business, or your future, affordable legal access helps you respond with confidence — not uncertainty.
When you're prepared and protected, you're free to focus on building your future, growing your business, and creating a lasting legacy.
Preparation isn't about expecting the worst — it's about being ready for whatever comes next.

Vivian Lydia-Jackson
Director · Independent Associate, LegalShield
"My role isn't to provide legal advice. It's to help families gain access to legal resources before a problem becomes a crisis."
For more than 35 years, Vivian Lydia-Jackson built her career inside the legal profession, working alongside attorneys, litigation teams, and legal executives at the highest levels.
She began with a firm that later became part of DLA Piper — one of the world's largest law firms — and witnessed firsthand the evolution of the legal industry throughout her career. She later served as Executive Assistant to the Head of Litigation in a corporate legal environment, supporting complex legal matters and senior legal leadership.
Those experiences gave Vivian a unique perspective on the importance of having access to quality legal services before a problem becomes a crisis.
Today, she combines more than three decades of legal-industry experience with over 25 years as a LegalShield Associate — helping individuals, families, and small business owners understand their options and choose the legal protection plan that best fits their needs.
Vivian is not an attorney and does not provide legal advice, practice law, or represent clients. Her role is to help prospective members understand LegalShield's benefits, identify appropriate coverage, and connect with the provider law firms available through their membership.
"After more than 35 years supporting the legal profession and over 25 years helping families access legal protection, I've learned one simple truth: the best legal strategy is preparing before life happens. That's why my mission is to help every family prepare wisely, protect confidently, and prosper for generations."
Why I've stayed with LegalShield for 25 years
I've watched, again and again, what it costs a family to wait until something goes wrong before they look for a lawyer — and how different the outcome can be when access is already in place.
A landlord pushing too far. A contract no one explained. A traffic stop. An identity stolen. These aren't rare situations — they're everyday life, and they almost always cost less when you don't have to figure them out alone.
LegalShield gives members a provider law firm to call before the moment turns expensive. That's the work I've stayed with for 25 years: helping people become proactive instead of reactive about their legal protection.
I'm an advocate for access, not a substitute for an attorney. The attorneys are the ones members reach through their LegalShield membership — I just make sure people know that resource exists.

What's covered
Not a sequence. These are the categories where members most often use the provider law firm their membership gives them access to.
Members can call their provider law firm before, during, or after a stop — not days later when the moment has already passed.
What people ask me
"I've never needed a lawyer for that." Most people haven't — until the one time it matters, and the cost of getting it wrong is the highest.
Lease disputes, security deposits, neighbor and contractor problems. A letter on attorney letterhead from a provider law firm changes the conversation.
What people ask me
"I'll just handle it myself." You can — until the other side gets a lawyer. Membership makes sure you have access to one first.
Continuous monitoring across credit, financial, social, and dark-web sources, plus full restoration by licensed investigators if your identity is taken.
What people ask me
"My bank already covers fraud." Banks reverse the charge. They don't restore your identity. IDShield does that work.
Contract review, debt collection assistance, designated consultations with a provider law firm — the legal department most small businesses cannot afford to staff.
What people ask me
"I have a family member who's an attorney." Membership adds ongoing access across many areas of law — an addition to that relationship, not a replacement.
Retail misunderstandings. Workplace accusations. False allegations from a neighbor or an ex. Members can reach their provider law firm the moment the situation starts — not after.
What people ask me
"It will sort itself out." Sometimes it does. When it doesn't, having a number to call already in your pocket changes everything.
Protecting your loved ones isn't just about what you leave behind — it's about making important decisions before a crisis occurs. Through your membership, you can consult with your provider law firm regarding wills, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and trust planning.
What people ask me
"I'm not wealthy enough to need a trust." Many families assume trusts are only for the wealthy. In reality, homeowners, parents, grandparents, and business owners often benefit from discussing estate planning options with an attorney through their membership.

Membership benefits
Legal issues are a fact of life, but getting legal help shouldn't require hundreds of dollars just to ask a question.
With a LegalShield membership, members can access their provider law firm, request legal assistance, have documents reviewed, prepare important legal documents, and receive support for covered matters through their membership benefits.
The protection you need. The access you deserve.
Explore membership optionsWhat members tell me most
Anonymized member scenarios. Outcomes vary; no legal results are guaranteed. Access is provided through the LegalShield provider law firm network — not by Vivian.
A member finally got a will and powers of attorney drawn up through their provider law firm after years of putting it off — included with their membership.
Suspicious activity was flagged through IDShield monitoring, and licensed investigators handled the restoration work on the member's behalf.
A letter on attorney letterhead from the provider law firm resolved a months-long billing dispute in a single round of correspondence.
A member called the provider law firm the same afternoon they were stopped — before deciding what to do next.
An owner had a vendor contract reviewed by the provider law firm before signing — a use of membership benefits they'd been paying for and rarely used.
A parent had a guardianship document reviewed through their membership before signing on behalf of an aging family member.
When they reach out
None of these require a legal emergency. Most start with one question. I help with membership selection and preparedness — the legal work happens through the provider law firm.
Why preparation matters
Most people don't think about legal protection until something goes wrong.
Whether it's an unexpected traffic stop, identity theft, a dispute with a contractor, a landlord issue, or planning your family's future, having access to legal guidance before problems arise can make all the difference.
Helping people prepare before life happens is at the heart of everything I do.
Prepare. Protect. Prosper.
Plan ahead
A will answers important questions. A trust may answer even more. Through your LegalShield membership, you can consult with your provider law firm regarding wills, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and trust planning options designed to help protect your loved ones.
Before the plans
LegalShield gives members access before a problem becomes expensive. Instead of wondering whether you can afford to call an attorney, you already have a provider law firm to reach when questions arise.
Plans
Specific pricing, state availability, and plan terms are confirmed during a short consultation. No commitment to talk it through.
Protect Yourself
For one person who wants real access to a provider law firm without paying lawyer-by-the-hour rates.
